Why the next date is part of your plan.
You leave, we ask about the next one, and you say you will ring when you have your diary in front of you. You mean it. Then the weeks go, and when you do come back you are further from where you wanted to be than you intended.
What you might have been told
That a salon asking for your next date is a salon chasing a booking. Plenty of places do use it that way, so if that is what you have assumed about us, you had good reason to. Nobody has ever explained what the date is actually for.
Here’s what’s actually happening
Your hair is not a series of separate appointments. It is one continuous thing, and what we did last time is still working, or wearing, right now. The tone goes first. Then the shape loosens. Then the warmth comes back. None of it announces itself, and none of it looks urgent on any single morning. It simply drifts, quietly, across weeks where nothing is wrong enough to make a phone call about. So the date in the diary is not a booking. It is the plan having a shape. It is the difference between a year of your hair being looked after and a year of it being rescued, and the two cost very different amounts of your time and your money.
It’s no wonder you didn’t know
Nobody drew you the plan. You were given a beautiful result and left to decide when it needed attention, with no information except the mirror, and the mirror tells you late every time. And because so many places ask for the next date as a sales move, treating the question with suspicion was the sensible response. It is no wonder you did not know. That was never yours to work out alone.
What this means for you
When you leave, we will tell you the date that keeps your hair where you like it, and we will offer to put it in. Move it whenever you want. Cancel it. Nothing is locked and nothing is charged. What it does is make the decision on a calm day rather than a busy one, and every day after your appointment is a busier one. That is the whole of it. Your plan is a shape, and the date is how the shape stays real. This is the whole of it. Great hair is not one visit. The plan is what makes it last, and the plan is colour, cut, treatments and home care, all held on one rhythm.
