The Hair Extension Plan is a prepaid hair extension maintenance plan from Tara Rose Salon, available all year across four salons in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Nothing here is money off. You place credit on your maintenance, we add a Maintenance Bonus on top of both maintenance plans, and the rest is what extensions look like when the rhythm that keeps them is planned properly.

Extensions are fitted to sit properly, so they ask for a particular rhythm. Your stylist prescribes the schedule for your method, and you never guess at home.
Method 01The point of attachment sits flat against the root. As your natural hair grows, that point moves away from the scalp and needs repositioning before it slips or tangles.
Method 02Each ring holds a small section at its own point of attachment. Over time the rings grow out with your hair and need repositioning to stay comfortable and secure.
Method 03The weft is anchored at beaded points along the row. As the root grows, those points shift down the hair and the row is moved back up to the scalp.
Method 04The track loosens as new growth comes through beneath it. Re-tightening keeps the point of attachment secure and stops the track riding away from the scalp.
Method 05The bond fuses directly to a section of natural hair. As that section grows, the bond travels down the hair and needs to be removed and refitted higher up.
Your extensions looked seamless the day you left. A few weeks on, the roots felt heavier and the blend started to show, and no one had told you why.
They go in once and stay put until you are ready to take them out.

Extensions moved on time are not what causes hair loss. Tension held in one place for too long is, and that is the one thing the maintenance schedule is built to stop.
As your natural hair grows, the point of attachment moves further from the scalp. Left too long, the extension starts pulling from a fixed point on hair that is no longer positioned to carry it, and that sustained pull is what stresses the root.
Traction alopecia is the name for thinning caused by ongoing pull at the root. It builds gradually, which is exactly why it is easy to miss until a section has noticeably thinned.
Moving the point of attachment back up on time is what stops that tension building. This is not a top-up. It is the mechanism that keeps your natural hair safe underneath.
Caught early, hair often grows back once the pull is relieved, which is why we check your scalp and hairline at every visit, not just the extensions themselves. If anything concerns us, we will say so, and suggest you see a doctor as well.

Once they are in, extensions do not need any maintenance.
They need a move-up appointment as your natural hair grows and the point of attachment shifts.
You can leave them in as long as you like.
Left past their move-up date, extensions matt and tangle, and the pull on your natural hair increases.
Any shampoo will do.
Sulphate-heavy shampoo strips the bond and dries the length. Extension-safe home care is part of the plan, never something added on at the basin.
Extensions always damage your natural hair.
Correctly fitted and maintained extensions should not damage your hair. Damage comes from a rhythm no one set for you, the wrong method for your hair, or wear beyond the interval your method needs.
It is fine to sleep with them loose.
A loose plait or low tie before bed stops tangling overnight and takes the pull off the point of attachment while you sleep.
Tight styling does not make a difference.
Tight ponytails and buns pull directly on the point of attachment. Looser styling protects it and extends the life of the fitting.
If they still look fine, maintenance can wait.
Maintenance protects your natural hair underneath, even in the weeks the extensions themselves still look fine.
